Love me as I am

looking into the mirror
i saw my reflection
and then i found a truth
its nowhere near perfection

though i see it everyday
though i know how i look
i never saw a flaw in it
maybe thats the way i took

but today, u made me see
the flaws the scars etched in
i stood shell shocked at this
felt like i committed a sin

no matter how i look
i had confidence in me
but today my reflection is
as repulsive as it can be

the sparkle in my eyes
bubbly bounce when i walked
my spirited composure
vanished the moment we talked

does beauty matter in love
i asked myself today
will it vanish then in future
when oldness makes its way

i may not be attractive
i may not be beautiful
but i confidently dare you
to find the one more dutiful

will anyone ever be able to
love you more than i do
but now the love for you's gone
'coz i love myself more than you

Supporting a Choice

People talk a lot about making a choice. How difficult it is, how hard it is, how mind-racking it is, how nerve-wrecking it is, etc-etc. Some choices we make to better our situation, some we make to get out of a situation, while some we make nonchalantly, some we make for a higher purpose and so on.
