Less Complicated Life
When my friend
commented that my life is unusually messy, I smiled a little thinking what
would she say if I confided everything that has been going on in my life.
Everyone says "Life isn't Fair", but what people don't understand is
that Life is already Fair, its just us who don't realize it.
But, this philosophy
doesn't work out always. Life is always fraught with complications.
No one has an easy way out, though there are different levels of complications
in life. For someone your life would seem picture perfect while you would bee
jealous of their way of life. If you are financially sound, then you would
crave for family and happiness. If you have a caring family, then you would
strive for financial success. If you are happy with the way things are in your
life, then you have to endure the jealousy of other people who just can't bear
your happiness.
And so on, so forth
goes the complications in life. We pray everyday, visit temples and mosques and
churches, apologize to God for the atrocities we have committed,
blame our Karma, offer money as atonement and get involved in unnecessary
superstitions to restore so-called Peace in our Lives instead of following
simple ways to solve problems.
A few solutions that
would make Life less complicated would be:
1. Discipline
2. Hard-work
3. Regular Exercise
4. Minimizing the
Usage of Internet for unwanted purposes
5. Meditation or Yoga
Of course, people
would say that these things are easier said than done. But is it true? Aren't
these things easier to do? Waking up every day early is not only easy but also
rejuvenating. It gives you a feeling if achievement and you will find
that you have enough time somehow to fit in all your chores and even to do
something extra! Also, staying away from pointless internet surfing and social networking
sites, is one of the best things which you can do in the world right now. You
will be surprised to see how much time you are saving by doing this and you can
use this saved time in doing something that makes your life better.
Here's what you can
do to test my theory. Get up early on a holiday. Go for a walk all by yourself
or ask a friend to join. DO NOT take any gadget with you. Come home and have a
light breakfast involving fruit juices and something relatively less caloric food.
Then go around the house and find out things which you have put under pending
or works which you have been postponing. Turn on the music if you want to while
completing these half done stuff by lunch time. Have a leisurely bath
before lunch and indulge in a healthy lunch ending with a dessert. If you have
a habit of reading, grab a book, sit on the floor against the wall and read to
your heart's content in the afternoon, or watch the TV or call a friend or
simply sleep for an hour if you want. After waking up, again go pull out a long
forgotten hobby of yours and indulge in it for a good part of the evening. Go
out to a friend's place or take a stroll around you place especially visiting
parks or places of worship where there is less noise. Come back home and cook
up a light dinner and eat it with your family or alone concentrating on the
chewing and number of spoonfuls that you are eating. Sleep early listening to
music or reading a book.
Maintain a journal
and write in it regularly. That way, you will know what you are doing in life
and how you can change it. You might say that for one day we can do this but
everyday this is not possible. But, its easy to be productive in life everyday.
Just with a little effort in your part, you can achieve something that is
really important for you.
And it would be very
good if you start doing that right from this moment. Good Luck with Life.
