Civilisation - See-We-(Reali)sation

Forceful laughter, forwarded jokes,
Empty playgrounds, sauna sweat soaks,
When the screen flashes, "That's all folks",
That’s really what we have, an orderly chaos.

Maternity doesn't mean motherhood now,
it's just a long leave that company's allow,
Antiques now include a gas burner stove,
Ready-made microwave food we love.

Home is no longer a family place,
It's just where we hide our make-up-less face,
Work never happens at the normal pace,
It's just a never-ending, hopeless case.

The sun now rises with the alarm call,
We live in shadows of skyscrapers tall,
Farmland is just the supermarket stall,
Time is just the big clock on the wall.

Love is just a mood, not a feeling,
Of two bodies on bed under a ceiling,
Smiles and affection lost power of healing,
Needles and knives sing health dealing.

Can you still put a toe out of the lines?
or are you just afraid on the land mines?
Can you still hear your own conscience?
or will you just believe what's proven by science?

Is this really the epitome of humanity?
Or are we just loosing the grip on reality?
Civilization is not marked my vanity,
It is the refinement of souls, embodied with humanity.
